This office is allowed up to 30 business days to process all New Licenses. Exam Applications can take several weeks to process. (We do not issue licenses over the counter)

The forms below may be printed and filled out manually. You also have the option to download the forms to your device and fill them out electronically by opening the file in Adobe Acrobat. After filling out the form you will print, sign and send it to the office by mail.

Contractor 

The State of Wyoming requires that all electrical contractors hold a current company license which is to be renewed every year.

Apprentices 

Contractors are responsible for registering all apprentices working for their company within 10 days of hire.

Exam Applications: Journeyman / Masters / Technicians

Exams are given for the following licenses. Please read the requirements on the cover sheet of the document before submitting the application.
WORK PERMITS: *Work permits are only issued if you are approved for the exam*, **Work permits are only good for 150 days**, To obtain a work permit please refer to the instructions in the exam application.

Once you have tested and receive your "Pass" letter, go to the eLicense portal and create your account (if you do not already have an account). Follow the instructions to upload your pass letter into your account. Once your Pass Letter is verified you will receive an email with instructions for payment.

Reciprocal

Journeyman and Masters that hold a license in another state may be eligible to reciprocate their license into the state of Wyoming. Please read the requirements on the cover page before submitting the application. 

The State of Wyoming is Reciprocal with the Journeyman Electrician License in the following states: 
Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, IdahoMaine, MinnesotaMontana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, 
New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah 

The State of Wyoming is Reciprocal with Master Electrician License in the following states: 
Idaho, South Dakota, Utah
