Wyoming Firefighters Hall of Fame
Purpose:
To recognize the accomplishments and deeds of individual firefighters or EMS Personal of a career or volunteer department who, in their service to the first responders and citizens of Wyoming, have excelled in their dedication.
Requirements:
Has significantly contributed to the Wyoming Fire Service and the people of the State of Wyoming. Nominees must have had an impact beyond the community they served and their influence must have been recognized statewide. This can be a single event or a continuing involvement that has a long lasting benefit to others.
Must have served as some level/rank in the fire service.
Selection:
Nomination for this honor may be made by a fire department, county commission, city/town council, or other governmental organization which has a firefighting support element to its operational mission.
Nominations:
Will be presented to a selection committee consisting of 6 members appointed by the Wyoming State Fire Marshal.
Nominations shall be submitted in writing with the name of the nominee, department, career history (dates served), and a detailed description of the reason the person is being nominated for this honor.
The selection committee will review all nominations and make Honoree selection recommendation/s to the Wyoming State Fire Marshal for consideration.
Induction into the Hall of Fame is not limited to one nominee per year. Nor is an
inductee required annually.
All Honoree’s will be publicly honored and their names will be permanently affixed to the
Wyoming Firefighter Hall of Fame plaque for display.
