Wyoming Medal of Valor

The purpose of Wyoming Medal of Valor Award is to recognize State of Wyoming Fire/EMS personnel for their extraordinary act of valor. An act of valor is defined as:

  • Action/s above and beyond the call of duty

  • Exhibiting exceptional courage, extraordinary decisiveness and presence of mind.

  • Unusual swiftness of action, regardless of his or her personal safety, in an attempt to save or protect human life.
